Experiences of interculturality and recognition of diversity in the university: balances and challenges

Abstract

UNAP is a university that has more weight in the technical-scientific field, since its main faculties are biology, agronomy, forestry or systems engineering. In the last 10 years, UNAP has had several innovative developments in the field of research in various fields of society, economy and cultural diversity of the Amazon, it has worked from basic sciences, topics from the extension of biodiversity projects, biotrade, satellite mapping; however, from the social sciences and humanities its development has been very weak and little expanded throughout the Amazon area and absent in the country The challenge that this university institution now faces is to adopt an intercultural model.
